33-year-old Kwame Harris, a former offensive lineman for the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders, was arrested Sunday evening following two hit-and-runs in San Francisco.

Details of Kwame Harris’ Arrest

The San Antonio Express-News reports Harris was arrested Sunday evening after being found unresponsive in his running vehicle by police.

Officers were flagged down around 7:30 pm by a witness who had found Harris asleep in his vehicle near the intersection of 14th Street and South Van Ness Avenue.

Suspicious that Harris was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, authorities attempted to handcuff Harris. Harris resisted and bit one of the officers.

Officers later linked Harris to two hit-and-runs in the area: one at the intersection of Hyde Street and Broadway, and a second accident in the 1700 block of Harrison Street. Harris has been charged with hit-and-run, driving under the influence, aggravated assault of an officer, and resisting arrest.
