Four people are dead following a three vehicle accident along Highway 77 near Refugio, Texas just after 7 pm..

About the Refugio Car Crash

According to KRIS-TV, a Chevrolet Suburban was traveling south on Highway 77 when the vehicle lost control, hydroplaned across the median, and head-on with a Ford Mustang.

Police have confirmed that two of the three people traveling in the Suburban and both occupants of the Mustang died at the scene. Earlier reports indicated that all four victims were from the Rio Grande Valley.

The third occupant of the Suburban was rushed to the hospital, but their condition is currently unknown. There is also no information on the third vehicle’s involvement in the crash

Investigations into the accident are ongoing, and no citations have been issued.
