Tina Robinson2 years ago

Multiple lanes on I-75 were shutdown on Tuesday evening after a tractor-trailer rolled over north of Macon, Ga., according to 13WMAZ news.

Details of the Tractor-Trailer Rollover Accident

Authorities in Georgia told reporters the accident happened at 4 p.m. on Tuesday on northbound I-75 near mile marker 177. A 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser driven by David Daniel, 23 was attempting to change lanes when it struck a tractor-trailer. The driver of the semi, David Evans, lost control of the truck and the vehicle rolled onto its side.

The tractor-trailer came to rest on top of the Toyota, trapping Daniel and a female passenger identified as Chloe Fowler. Emergency crews worked for 40 minutes to extricate Fowler who was then airlifted to an Atlanta hospital in serious condition.

Both Daniel and Evens were taken a hospital in Macon, Ga. for injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities said all passengers were wearing seat belts when the accident occurred and do not believe weather to have been a factor.
