GM Recalls Cadillac, Buick and Chevrolet Vehicles

Amy June Tan4 years ago

General Motors is recalling a small number of Cadillac and Buick sedans as well as two Chevrolet models for problems regarding air bags and head restraints. These vehicles are being recalled in addition to the half million sedans recalled by GM earlier this year.

General Motors Recall Information

According to the NHTSA:

  • GM is recalling 12,626 Cadillac 2013 XTS sedan, a new model, for rear seat head restraints that may not correctly lock upright after being folded forward.
  • If the head restraint is at its lowest position and it falls forward, it will not meet the height required by the (federal) standard and would increase the occupant's risk of neck injury in a crash.
  • GM is also issuing a separate recall its 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze, and Chevrolet Sonic vehicles because the driver's front air bag may not deploy properly in a crash.
