Hercules Recalls 90,000 SUV Tires

Destiny Baker1 year ago

Hercules has issued a nationwide recall for 90,000 SUV tires after determining the tires’ tread can separate, resulting in sudden air loss and an increased risk of crash.

Details of the Tire Recall

According to reports, the Ohio-based company issued documents stating that dealers will replace the recalled tires equipped with a full nylon cap instead of the partial nylon cap used on the older tires.

The recall was initiated after an attorney notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that the tires had a similar design as previously recalled ITG Voma tires.

Officials are investigating to see if the recalled tires are linked to any crashes, injuries, or deaths.
