A four-year-old boy from Houston was hit and killed while riding his bike in a parking lot in Houston last week.

Details about the Fatal Accident

Multiple sources have reported that, according to police, a four-year-old boy was hit and killed while riding his bicycle in the parking lot of an apartment complex in southwest Houston.

The accident happened on the evening of Tuesday March 1 at a complex on Wilcrest near South Street.

A friend of the family of the victim said the complex is actually very family-oriented and the boy, identified as Jahneb Azeem, was well known in the community.

According to police, the boy was riding his bicycle in the parking lot when the driver of an Infiniti SUV came driving though the lot of the complex. Police have indicated that the 41-year-old female driver of the SUV simply did not see the child when she hit him.

The boy was taken to the Texas Children’s Hospital after the accident where he later died. The driver of the SUV was questioned by the police, but did not seem impaired at the timet and was released from the scene.

Police have stated that they do not believe any charges will be filed against the driver at this time.
