Ice Cream Truck Driver Attacked After Collision With Child

An ice cream truck driver was attacked in South Los Angeles after a fatal accident involving a 7-year-old boy.

About the Ice Cream Truck Accident

Neighborhood residents attacked an ice cream truck driver after it hit and killed a 7-year-old boy who was riding a motorized bicycle. The child, Jamarion Thomas, was said to be riding alongside the ice cream truck when he slipped and was caught under a rear wheel of the truck, said Police Sergeant Timothy Colson.

The driver sustained bruises in the beating and has been taken to a local police station for protection. He reported that bricks were thrown at his truck and being threatened by a person with a knife. Police are still searching for his attackers.

Jamarion Thomas was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he passed away. The driver has not been charged, as the collision was an accident.
