WTHITV News is reporting that an investigation into a fatal plane crash that resulted in two people being killed on Monday morning remains ongoing at this time.

The Parke County Sheriff’s Department reported on Monday that the Cessna 150 crashed shortly after take-off from Butler Airfield, which is just south of the town of Rockville.

Both of the people inside the plane at the time of the accident were killed when the plane crashed in a wooded area behind a home. At this time, the exact cause of the accident is not yet known. One of the identities of the people killed in the accident was released on Tuesday afternoon. That person has been identified as 44-year-old Kurt Waugh of Rockville, who was the pilot at the time of the accident.

An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
