ISO7X Isometric Exercise Device Recalled – Impact Hazard

Elissa Russell2 years ago

The Ontel ISO7X isometric exercise device has been recalled due to faulty handle grips, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

About the ISO7X Recall

There have been at least 10 reports of the handles breaking, causing parts to be ejected forcefully from the shaft. In five of these instances, this defect caused the device’s internal spring coil and rod to be launched at the user or bystanders, resulting in punctures or lacerations.

Decryption of Recalled Isometric Exercise Device

  • About 170,000 of these exercise devices have been recalled.
  • The ISO7X isometric exercise device is about three feet long with plastic black handle grips at each end, and nylon straps that extend down each side. Only those devices with black handle grips are subject to this recall.
  • The ISO7X was sold for about $30 at sporting good and retail stores nationwide, as well on various websites. It was primarily sold between October 2009 and August 2011.

If you or someone you know currently uses a recalled IOS7X isometric exercise device, you should stop use of the product immediately. You may also contact Ontel Products for instructions on obtaining a full refund.
