A pedestrian was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Jamestown on Wednesday.

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

WGRZ News is reporting that police are currently investigating a fatal pedestrian accident that happened in Jamestown on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Jamestown police, the accident happened at about 2:20 p.m. on West 3rd Street and Lakin Avenue when a pedestrian was crossing the street.

The victim was taken to the WCA Hospital where he later died from injuries sustained in the accident. At this time, the name of the pedestrian has not been released by the police.

The Chautauqua County Accident Reconstruction Team is working with the Jamestown police to investigate the circumstances of the accident.

At this time, it is currently unknown whether the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the accident or whether or not they sustained any injuries during the collision.
