A Whole Foods Market has issued a voluntary recall for Jivara Lactee Milck Chocolate Valrhona due to undeclared hazelnut.

About the Milk Chocolate Valrhona Recall

According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), a Whole Foods Market located in Oakland at 230 Bay Place has recently recalled their Jivara Lactee Milk Chocolate Valrhona Cut and Wrap Pieces due to an undeclared tree nut (hazelnut) allergen that the products contained.

The details on the recall concluded the following:

  • The recalled product came in pieces wrapped in clear plastic wrap.
  • All Jivara Lactee Milk Chocolate Valrhona cut and wrap pieces packed on dates prior to May 19th 2015 are part of the recall.
  • The product's UPC code is 250344025508.

Up to date, only one mild reaction to the allergen has been reported; however, consumers are advised to be weary of the effects the recalled product may have if consumed.
