Kansas Company Recalls 50,000 Pounds of Ground Beef
The National Beef Packing Company has issued a voluntary nationwide recall for over 50,000 pounds of beef due to concerns that it may have been contaminated with E. coli.
This follows a previous recall of over 22,000 pound of ground beef for E. coli concerns made by the same company last month.
About the Ground Beef Recall
- The recalled ground beef was produced on July 18 and has a use by/freeze by date of August 7.
- The meat was shipped in 40-60 pound cases to retailers.
- The product carries a USDA mark of inspection bearing the establishment number “Est. 208A.”
