Kroger Recalls Tainted Spinach
A recall has been announced for Fresh Selections Tender Spinach due to a possibility that it may contain Listeria monocytogenes. If eaten, Listeria monocytogenes could result in severe illness in those with weakened immune systems or women that are or may be pregnant.
- The product under recall is Fresh Selections Tender Spinach sold in 10 ounce packages with the UPC number, 0001111091649.
- Kroger has removed the affected items from their shelves, and begun to notify customers who may have purchased the products.
- Consumers should remove all containers of the products from their refrigerators and dispose of the product; the packaging may be returned to the point of purchase for a full refund.
