Liana DeMasi1 year ago

According to the San Antonio Express-News, a lawsuit has been filed against San Antonio and Mayor Ivy Taylor’s driver following an accident that left three people injured.

Details of the Accident

Taylor’s Lincoln Navigator, driven by her driver, struck a convertible with three passengers on the afternoon of April 18th. Authorities remain unsure as to who had the right of way at the intersection of North Hackberry and East Houston streets due to contradicting witness statements.

Two of the three passengers in the convertible suffered minor injuries, but one passenger, Tomekia Baldwin, is at San Antonio Military Medical Center suffering from permanent brain damage and loss of bodily function.

The exact amount the lawsuit is seeking has not been announced but its purpose is to pay for damages on behalf of the passengers involved. The lawsuit alleges Taylor’s Navigator disregarded a red light at the intersection.
