Lead Paint Leads to KHS America Recall of Children’s Musical Instrument
About the KHS America Recall
KHS America recently recalled their Monkey Glockenspiel. The pink bar may contain high levels of lead, which violates the federal health standard.
The paint can be scraped off and if it is ingested can cause adverse health effects.
About 150 units have been affected. The Green Tones logo is stamped on the back with the tracking number HS0178410914.
The Green Tones 8-note monkey glockenspiel has 8 metal bars attached to a base that is shaped like a monkey. The bars are individually attached with screws at each end. Consumers should take the pink one (second one from the top) off immediately and contact KHS America for a free replacement.
