Log Splitters Recalled Due to Impact Hazard
Crary Industries Inc. is recalling about 120 ECHO Bear Cat hydraulic log splitters due to an impact hazard. Three incidents, including one head injury, have been reported.
About the Log Splitter Recall
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recall notice, the end cap, which covers the hydraulic cylinder, can break away from the body of the machine and strike users or bystanders. There have been three reports of this occurring with one incident resulting in a head injury. Consumers are urged to stop using the log splitters immediately and contact the nearest dealer about getting a free hydraulic cylinder replacement.
