Logan Canyon Teen Hospitalized after Motorcycle Accident

A teenager was sent to the hospital after being involved in a motorcycle accident that happened on Wednesday afternoon.

Details about the Motorcycle Accident

The Cache Valley Daily News is reporting that a teenage boy was hospitalized on Wednesday afternoon after being involved in a motorcycle accident that happened in the Logan Canyon area. According to police, the accident happened at about 2:40 p.m. on US 89, near mile marker 464.

According to state troopers, the 17-year-old was attempting to accelerate to pass several vehicles on the roadway that only had two lanes, when he slammed into the back of a Chrysler PT Cruiser. The motorcycle driver was thrown from the bike and sustained injuries to his face as well as a broken wrist. The helmet and riding gear he was wearing likely saved his life.

The teenager was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. Charges in the accident are pending at this time.
