Lubbock Pedestrian Injured in Accident

Details about the Fatal Pedestrian Accident

Multiple sources are reporting that 57-year-old John Fulbright suffered non-life threatening injuries when he was hit by a vehicle on Monday evening near the area of Interstate 27 and 34th Street.

According to police, the accident was reported to them at about 6:30 p.m. The accident happened at the 3100 block of the Interstate 27 northbound access road. Police further stated that Fulbright was attempting cross the access road from east to west, when a 2011 Lincoln MKS was heading north. Fulbright did not yield the right of way and was hit by the Lincoln.

Fulbright suffered from moderate injuries and was transported to University Medical Center by ambulance. The driver of the Lincoln was not injured in the accident. The Lubbock Police Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene of the accident to investigate.
