Machete Recalled Due to Laceration Hazard
A voluntary recall has been issued by the U.S Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada to retract the distribution of Gerber® Bear Grylls Parang Machetes. Consumers should stop using this product due to a laceration hazard.
About the Machete Recall
- In coordination with the U.S CPSC, Gerber Legendary Blades of Portland Oregon recalled this product due to a laceration hazard caused by the handle or blade being easily breakable.
- The weakness is located where the handle meets the blade and can effortlessly fall apart when used, posing a safety issue to consumers.
- Over 119,000 units were sold and the firm received 24 reports of breakage, one of which involved a minor laceration injury in Canada.
Description of the Product
