Mack Trucks’ Windshield Wipers Recalled
Mack Trucks, Inc. is recalling 2012 CHU, CXU, and GU models that were manufactured from the period between October 10, 2011 to November 17, 2011.
About the Windshield Wipers Recall
According to the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), the hardware that is used to secure the windshield wiper linkage to the wiper motor might not be sufficiently torqued. This problem may cause the linkage to become detached to the motor, and cause the wipers to not function. Under certain driving conditions, such as when it’s raining and the driver’s visibility is reduced, the risk of crash is substantially increased.
Remedies for Mack Owners
Mack will replace the hardware on affected vehicles free of charge.
