A man in Alabama has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

Multiple sources are reporting that a man from Alabama is currently being charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident that killed a motorcyclist. According to Montgomery police, they have arrested the man in connection with the accident.

A statement from the Montgomery Police Department stated that 47-year-ol Joel Slaton of Montgomery has been charged with a felony for leaving the scene of an accident. The statement also indicated that additional charges are likely.

According to authorities, 57-year-old David Fail of Deatsville was on his 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle at the time of the accident that happened on Sunday evening, when he was hit by a 1993 Buick Park Avenue. Fail died on Monday at the hospital.

An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time, but more charges are likely.
