Jonathan Hernandez8 months ago

A man that was accused of leaving the scene of an accident has been charged with DUI.

Details about the DUI Charge

According to WGNS Radio News, a man from Murfreesboro who was charged with a DUI just less than five months ago was arrested again on his second DUI charge on Sunday morning.

The man, who has been identified as 24-year-old Christopher Lee Stout, was arrested after he fled the scene of an injury accident on Mercury Boulevard at South Rutherford Boulevard in Murfreesboro. The driver of another car in the area witnessed the accident and followed Stout after the collision.

The witness then flagged the attention of a police officer who happened to be passing by at the time.

When authorities were able to talk to Stout, he admitted that he would not be able to pass a field sobriety test, according to the official arrest report from the accident. Stout was then taken into custody and charged with his second DUI, for leaving the scene of an accident causing injury, and for driving with a revoked license.

Stout has been scheduled to appear in court sometime this May. Stout is currently free on bond.
