Man Faces Multiple Charges in Fatal DUI Accident

A man has been charged with numerous charges, including DUI, after an accident that killed a motorcyclist.

Details about the Fatal DUI Accident

WREG News is reporting that a man was arrested and charged with causing an accident that killed a motorcyclist on Sunday evening.

According to police, 38-year-old Onesimo Gardea, was drunk and driving under the influence when he made a left turn and collided with a motorcycle on Lamar Street. Police further stated that Gardea left the scene of the accident and did not stop to render aid.

Since the accident, Gardea has been charged with vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, driving without a license, driving with insurance or registration, reckless driving, and for leaving the scene of an accident.

Police stated that Gardea had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. The motorcyclist was killed at the scene of the accident.

Family have identified the victim of the motorcycle accident has Christopher Kinsey III – a 21-year-old father of a baby who is less than one year old.
