Details about the Hit and Run Accident

KSAT 12 News is reporting that a man was sent to the hospital to be treated for his injuries after he was hit by a vehicle as he was attempting to cross the street on Friday evening.

According to San Antonio police, the accident happened at about 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of South Flores Street and Dickson Avenue on the south side of the city. Police further stated that the man was attempting to cross the street where he did not have a designated crosswalk. He was about halfway across the road when he tried to turn back. At that time, a vehicle heading south on South Flores hit the man, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle that hit the man stopped and is not expected to face any charges. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in stable condition and is expected to be okay.
