A man was killed in a high speed chase involving Perry Police.

Details about the High Speed Accident

13 WMAZ News is reporting that police are currently investigating a fatal accident that happened after a police chase early Tuesday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol, the accident happened along Klondike Road off Highway 341, which is between Perry and Hawkinville. Perry police Chief Steve Lynn stated that the suspect’s vehicle was pulled over because the vehicle was blaring loud music and had a paper tag. The police Chief further stated that the vehicle then sped off.

Leslie Robertson called the news station and said that her son, 37-year-old Leroy miller Jr., was killed in the police chase. She stated that the vehicle he was driving belonged to her niece. Robertson was frustrated when she called from the Houston County medical Center, saying that the hospital would not let her see her son’s body.

Police Chief Lynn stated that the man was killed when the vehicle he was operating collided with a tree during the chase.
