Man Killed Attempting to Aid Traffic Accident

According to KRIS-TV, a man was killed by oncoming traffic as he was assisting those involved in a traffic collision on Highway 37 near Rand Morgan Road.

Information on the Traffic Accident

The collision happened around 10 pm Monday when the man got out of his vehicles to assist people involved in the traffic accident. The first crash involved two cars.

Early reports of police indicate visibility may have been a factor and that one of the drivers was intoxicated.

Authorities are continuing with investigations into the accident. The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Richard Branch.
