A man from Cibolo was killed when he was hit by a train in Philadelphia.

Details about the Fatal Train Accident

KSAT 12 News is reporting that a man from the Cibolo area was hit and killed by a train in Philadelphia after visiting the Liberty Bell.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, 55-year-old Woodrow Jackson was with his wife late Tuesday afternoon when he somehow fell onto the tracks at the 13th Street station, just as a Market-Frankford train was arriving at the station.

The man was killed at the scene of the accident and his wife was transported to a local hospital where she was treated for shock. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority shut off the power along the track between 30th Street and the Spring Garden station while police conducted their investigation.
