Destiny Baker3 years ago

DPS Troopers are investigating a fatal trucking accident in Banquette that left one man dead.

About the Fatal Banquette Crash

According to KRIS-TV, the driver of a pick-up truck was traveling westbound along Highway 44 around 1:30 Wednesday morning when he was fatally struck a tractor-trailer near County Road 93.

Authorities believe that the driver of the pick-up lost control of his vehicle and veered off the road before over-correcting, causing the truck to roll back onto the highway. The truck came to rest in the left lane.

The driver of the 18-wheeler did not see the truck and crashed into the vehicle, killing the driver. It took crews roughly two hours to extract the man from the pick-up. The driver and passenger of the 18-wheeler were not injured.
