Man Killed in Fatal Memphis Accident

A Cordova man is dead following a fatal auto accident involving an off-duty Memphis firefighter.

About the Fatal Collision

According to witness reports, 53-year-old Raymond Glover, a lieutenant with the Memphis Fire Department, ran a red light at the intersection of Mendenhall and Walnut Grove before colliding with 2014 Dodge Equinox, killing Josh Bichelman, 33.

The Commercial Appeal reports that the force from the collision sent the Equinox into a nearby utility pole. Bichelman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Glover was not tested for impairment based on his behavior at the scene. No charges filed in connection to the April 5 accident and Glover currently remains on active duty.
