Man Killed in Fort Worth Trucking Accident, 4 Others Injured

Police have identified the man who was killed Monday morning in a multi-vehicle accident that shut down Interstate 35 at Heritage Trace Parkway for several hours.

About the Fatal Trucking Accident

According to the Star-Telegram, the incident occurred when two tractor-trailers and three passenger vehicle were involved in a chain reaction accident in the southbound lanes of I-35W. Patrol officers were dispatched to the accident around 11:15 am.

Mark Boland, 66, was pronounced dead at the scene while for others were transported to area hospitals.

Two of the injured were transported to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, one person was taken to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Alliance, and the final injured individual was transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth. Reports indicate two of the injured were listed in critical condition and two were listed in serious condition.

Authorities are continuing their investigation of the accident.
