Man Killed in Skid Loader Accident

A farmer was killed on Monday in a skid loader accident near Bristol.

Important Information about the Skid Loader Accident

The Elkhart Truth is reporting that 64-year-old man was killed on Monday afternoon while he was working on his family farm just north of Bristol, according to the authorities.

The victim, who has been identified as David F. Blough was working using a skid loader at about 1:40 p.m. when he somehow became trapped in the arms of the machinery at the farm on the 52000 block of Country Road 21, according to the Elkhart Sheriff’s Department.

Other workers who were working at the farm at the time of the accident were not able to rescue the victim, according to Elkhart County Coroner John White.

Both the Elkhart County police department on Bristol firefighters responded to the scene of the accident.

An autopsy on the victim has been scheduled for Tuesday in Kalamazoo.
