Lauren Fernandez1 year ago

A man in Bexar County  was struck by an 18-wheeler and dragged to his death. Authorities are looking for answers.

Details of the Tragic Accident

The San Antonio Express-News reported that police are investigating what happened to a man who appeared to have been dragged to his death by a vehicle in Northwest Bexar County.

The man was found at Ralph Fair Road and I-10 in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 23. He appeared to have been hit by a vehicle and dragged about 75 yards. Sergeant Augustin Pruneda of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Department said that the deceased appeared to have been under a trailer rig and then dragged from the Valero parking lot onto Ralph Fair Road.

Investigators believe that the man may have been homeless and was possibly sleeping underneath the 18-wheeler parked in the Valero parking lot. The driver of the vehicle did not stop to give aid but investigators say that it is unclear whether the driver knew that the man had been hit.

The Sheriff’s Department is investigating to find the truck and its driver.
