Details about the Fatal Accident

Multiple sources are reporting that a man was killed and woman and two children were injured in an accident that happened on Sunday morning that resulted in the closure of the Florida Turnpike’s northbound lanes for several hours according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The Florida Highway Patrol has also stated that the accident happened at about 9:20 a.m. on Sunday morning when an SUV overturned in the single vehicle accident. The victim, identified as 32-year-old Antoine Gardner, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

A portion of the northbound lanes of the Turnpike was closed while authorities responded to the scene.

24-year-old passenger, Jessica Russ, was taken to the Osceola Regional Hospital in serious condition. Two 13-year-old children were taken to Arnold Palmer Hospital with minor injuries.
