Man Struck, Killed by Semi in Michigan Identified by Police

Police have identified the name of the man struck and killed by a tractor-trailer in Michigan Wednesday morning as Joseph Michael Logan, 36, according to M Live.

About the Tractor Trailer Accident

Reports from Michigan state police say the accident occurred on southbound U.S. 23 in Northfield Township on Wednesday morning. Logan was in the process of refueling a pickup truck on the shoulder of the road when a semi struck and killed him. Police say he died instantly.

Also injured in the accident was Jason Elwood Bell, 32, who was behind the wheel of the pickup when the crash occurred. Bell was taken to the hospital in unstable condition, but police told reporters that he was conscious at the scene.

The driver of the semi has been described as a 56-year-old man from Pennsylvania. His name has not been released. The cause of the investigation is still ongoing and charges against the driver are pending those results.
