Mercedes Recalls 147,000 Vehicles for Fire Hazard

Mercedes-Benz is recalling more than 147,000 mid-sized cars and station wagons due to a potential fire hazard.

Details of the Mercedes Recall

According to the Tech Times, the German automaker issued the recall after noting that the rubber lining at the back of the affected vehicles’ engine bay may fall into the engine and cause a fire.

Mercedes-Benz has halted the sales for affected vehicles and announced that it would be informing all affected car owners of the issue.

Mercedes-Benz previously recalled 149,000 vehicles across Europe and China for a similar issue.

  • 2013-2015 E63 AMG
