Michelin Recalls 814,000 Tires

Ramona Roberts4 years ago

Michelin has announced it is recalling more than 814,000 BF Goodrich and UniRoyal tires due to tread/belt edge separation. The tires were reportedly used as replacements for commercial light trucks and full-sized heavy duty vans.

More Information About the Tire Recall

According to the National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration, the recalled tires have a propensity to develop a separation at the tread/belt edge. The separation may cause tires to lose air rapidly, which may increase the risk of a vehicle crash.

BF Goodrich and Uniroyal will notify owners and dealers will replace affected tires free of charge. Owners may contact the Tire Consumer Care line at 1-800-637-5527.
