Minivan Strikes, Injures Police Officer in Md.

Authorities in Prince George’s county, Md. say an out-of-control minivan is to blame for an accident Thursday morning that left one police officer seriously injured, according to CBS Washington.

Details of the Minivan Accident

  • Three officers were outside of their vehicle performed a routine traffic stop when a minivan sped in their direction. One officer was struck by the vehicle.
  • The officer, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Prince George’s Hospital Center with serious injuries.
  • The driver of the minivan was also taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
  • Police are investigating what caused the minivan to lose control.
