Missing man’s body from Tuscaloosa was found inside a wrecked vehicle.

Details about the Fatal Accident

WALB News is reporting that state troopers have confirmed that the body that was found inside a wrecked vehicle is 24-year-old Zachary Alexander Koch, who was reported missing from Tuscaloosa on Sunday.

According to troopers who responded to the scene, Koch was killed in a single-vehicle accident at around 4 a.m. on Sunday when his 2003 Ford Mustang went off the roadway and drove down a 60-foot embankment and into a row of trees.

The accident happened on Tuscaloosa County 10 just about nine miles south of Tuscaloosa.

The crash site was discovered by a state trooper who had stopped his vehicle on Monday after pulling over to give his dog a bathroom break. The victim had not been heard from since about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Troopers have indicated that there doesn’t appear to be any foul play involved in the crash, but that it was just an accident.

An investigation into the circumstances of the accident is ongoing.
