More than 70 Injured in Connecticut Train Crash
More than 70 were injured, some critically, when two Metro-North commuter trains collided in Connecticut on Friday (May 17, 2013). According to news reports, the train heading from New York City to New Haven, Connecticut derailed around 6:00 p.m. and crashed into a train travelling westbound.

According to news reports, the National Transportation Safety Board is launching a full investigation into the train crash. Investigators will inspect the trains and tracks, review the actions of the crews, and look into information from the trains’ data recorders.
