Stephanie Samedi1 year ago

The mother who allowed her 8-year-old to drive her car appeared in court on Wednesday, pleading not guilty to child endangerment and public intoxication.

About The Incident

According to KRIS-TV, Roxanne Iruegas, 23, is facing felony charges after an incident in April in which she allowed her 8-year-old daughter to drive her car. Police say Iruegas was smoking synthetic marijuana at the time of the incident.

The child lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a fence.

No one was injured in that crash, but Iruegas is being charged with Child Endangerment and Public Intoxication. Iruegas is denying the charges filed against her.

If convicted, Iruegas faces up to two years in prison.
