Motorcycle Accident Kills One in Emery County

One man was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened on Sunday evening.

Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

The Gephardt Daily News is reporting that, according to the Emery County Sheriff’s Office, a 28-year-old man from Sandy was killed in a single-vehicle motorcycle accident that happened on Sunday evening. The victim has been identified as Jeramy Stephan, and it appears as though he died due to head trauma.

Police have stated that the accident reportedly happened at about 9 p.m., just north of Joe’s Valley Reservoir, which is near the Reeder Subdivision Road, 16 miles west of Orangeville. Investigators have further revealed that it is likely that Stephan misjudged a curb in the roadway and was ejected from the motorcycle before the bike returned to the roadway.

Stephan was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. An investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
