A motorcyclist was killed in an accident that happened in north Texas.

Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Fox News 4 is reporting that a man in north Texas was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened over the weekend. The wife of the victim is hoping that someone will recognize the truck that police say is responsible for the fatal accident.

Police in the Rockwall area say that a Ford F-150 pickup truck was hauling furniture and was heading west on Interstate 20 last week when a mattress came loose and fell into the path of a motorcyclist. 73-year-old Doug Johnson hit the mattress and was thrown from the motorcycle into a light pole.

Police have stated that right now it is unclear how long the mattress was on the interstate before Doug collided with it. Witnesses in the area say that they believe the truck pulled over near Horizon Road. Two women then got out of the vehicle to adjust the load and noticed that the mattress was gone before they continued on.

At this time the driver has not been identified, but charges will be pressed once the driver is caught.
