Motorcyclist Killed in Four-Vehicle Crash

A motorcyclist was fatally injured in Blue Ridge, Texas Saturday morning as a result of a four-vehicle collision.

About the Blue Ridge Crash

According to KXII, the accident occurred when an SUV rear ended another vehicle in the southbound lanes of State Highway 78. The impact caused the second car to lose control and travel into the northbound lanes, where it was struck by 49-year-old motorcyclist Russell Dean Neis.

Neis was pronounced dead at the scene – reports state he was on his way to deliver toys to Kings Trail Cowboy Church for their ‘Project Christmas’ program.

The driver of the SUV Lacie Dee Pardun, 31, was cited for failure to control speed. The involvement of the fourth vehicle was not clear in initial news reports.
