One person was killed in a motorcycle accident that happened on Route 65.

Details about the Fatal Motorcycle Accident

WTAE News is reporting that the driver of a motorcycle was killed in a collision with a small SUV that happened early Wednesday morning on Route 65 near the West End Bridge.

Police from the Pittsburgh area have stated that the man was pronounced dead shortly after emergency first responders arrived at the scene of the accident just before 12:10 a.m. The medical examiner has identified the victim as 51-year-old Paul Blume, of the Burgettstown area.

The SUV was traveling toward the McKees Rocks Bridge when the motorcycle began to pass it at a high rate of speed as the SUV went under the West End Bridge and the two vehicles collided, according to police,

The driver of the SUV was uninjured in the accident and remained at the scene. No charges have been filed at this time, but an investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
