Jasmine Roziers2 years ago

According to Reuters, a preliminary report was released in the case of a New York train colliding with an SUV parked in the middle of the tracks earlier this month.

Details Included in the Preliminary Report

The report states that Ellen Brody's SUV was parked in the middle of the tracks on February 3, when the train crashed into it.

The report shows that five passengers were killed in the accident and that Brody was pronounced dead.

The reports show that in the crash, the electrified third rail detached, pierced the SUV and then entered the first rail car.

Investigators have yet to determine why Brody stopped on the tracks. The investigators also plan on further examining the third rail pieces and the interior of the train.
