A woman from Medina was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Texas.

Details about the Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident

WGRZ News is reporting that authorities have stated that one traveler was killed and several others were injured in a 13-vehicle pileup that happened during a dust storm in the Texas panhandle.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on Wednesday evening and resulted on the closure of Interstate 40 near Conway, which is just 30 miles east of Amarillo.

Trooper Cindy Barley has stated that six vehicles, one motorcycle, and six tractor-trailer trucks crashed when the dust storm came in and caused zero visibility conditions. Tammy Page, of Medina, New York, was killed in the accident. Page was in the back seat of a car that was pinned between two of the trucks.

Several other people were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries, but their conditions are unknown at this time.
