Nissan Cars Recalled for Air Bag and Seat Belt Issues
Over four million cars were recalled by Nissan due to possible air bag and safety belt failures.
About the Nissan Cars Recall
According to FOX News, Nissan North America Inc. said that over 3.2 million cars may have an airbag detection problem. This occurs if the sensor in the passenger’s seat fails to detect and adult or child, and classifies the seat as empty.
No schedule has been provided for when notices of defective cars and the corresponding free repairs will go out to owners, but Nissan is promising to do so as a solution.
In Nissan Sentras, the problem is the opposite as the air bag sensor does not know when to turn off. They warn Sentra owners to not install child restraint systems until they figure out the problem.
