No charges are going to be filed in a fatal dump truck accident that happened in Braselton.

Details about the Fatal Dump Truck Accident

11 Alive News is reporting that, according to the Georgia State Patrol, there will be no charges that will be filed in an accident that killed a 53-year-old woman.

The accident happened at about 11:30 a.m. when a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that was being driven by 53-year-old Glynda O’Kelley, left the lane she was driving in on Georgia Highway 53.

A spokesperson for the Georgia State Patrol says that when O’Kelley when she entered into the other lane of traffic that was traveling in the opposite direction, a dump truck attempted to swerve out of the way to avoid hitting her.

Evidence on the roadway suggests that as the dump truck swerved, the front end of the Toyota hit the dump truck, and, after the initial impact, the Toyota then hit the bed of the dump truck.

O’Kelley died at the scene of the accident as a result of her injuries.
