Officials in Lubbock, Texas are investigating a tragic accident that occurred around 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Avenue Q and 40th Street.

About the Fatal Lubbock Accident

Patrol officers reported a car traffic accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 4100 block of Ave Q A 2003.

The driver of the Ford Expedition immediately left the scene and did not stop to render aid.

According to Everything Lubbock, “the pedestrian, Ramon Ledesma Jr. – 55, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.”

During the investigation the suspect was brought back to the scene and later was arrested by the Lubbock County Detention Facility.
