Details about the Pedestrian Accident

News 4 San Antonio is reporting that a San Antonio man has been left in serious condition at the University hospital in San Antonio after he was hit by a vehicle. The impact was so strong that the man’s glasses were embedded in the windshield of the vehicle.

The accident initially happened at about 6:15 a.m. on Thursday morning near the intersection of Whitman Avenue and Zarzamora. A man in his 60’s was attempting to cross the street to buy tacos for breakfast like he does every morning, when he stepped out in front of a car.

The woman who was driving the vehicle tried to help the man, but she then drove away from the scene of the accident when some of the man’s family members confronted her.

According to police, they were able to find the woman a few blocks away parked at an apartment complex. The woman told police that she was afraid the family of the man was going to hurt her. No charges are expected to be filed at this time, but police are continuing to investigate.

The man was transported to University Hospital with serious injuries.
